Investigating the properties of the stripped “Guido Horn d’Arturo” library

Published 2019 February 23

ABSTRACT

We present observations and analysis of the new Navile library. Clear-cut evidence of a past book-stripping has been found. Instead of a feeble and long-lasting ram pressure stripping, a violent tidal stripping took place due to a sudden migration to Navile headquarters. Further observations suggest that the emission has a strong variability with peaks on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays with a duty cycle of only ~20%. Many researchers are struggling to find some peculiar objects in this region. Indeed, only Main Sequence canonical books have been discovered so far. Even though it is still inconclusive, this study provides the first large-scale study of the “Guido Horn d’Arturo” library. The community should now strive to bring back to light the depleted books.

Fig. 1. The effects of the migration toward the new Navile headquarters. The light profiles of the “Guido Horn d’Arturo” library date back to 2015 and 2019 respectively. At the present time, no tidal tail has been observed. While this could be due to a sensitivity bias, we will continue to look for an evidence of dark mass of book that is probably hiding in the original location.
